T1 Theater in the Heldebergs
Session: 1 Grades: 4 - 8
Actors, actresses, musicians, crew-hands - put all of your creative energies to work as we collaborate on the writing and production of the 2011 premier of “Theater in the Heldebergs”!

T2 Basic Guitar
Session: 1 Grades: 5 - 8
In this class we learn how to make music on the coolest of all instruments - the guitar! We play basic chords, learn to read various kinds of notation and make music individually and as a group.

T3 Wizard’s Workshop
Session: 1 Grades: 3-6
Have you ever pretended to be Harry Potter or Hermione? Imagine what it would be like to go Wizard’s School! Spell-casting, magical charms and the mythical beast will all be part of your creative crash course in theatrical conjuring. Apprentices will construct a wizard’s wardrobe, magical apparatus and other accessories of abracadabra! The emphasis will be on creative play and imagination, with a few magic tricks mixed in for good measure.

T4 Haunted Heldebergs!
Session: 2 Grades: 3-6
In this creepy class of fright-filled fun, you will learn the basics of happy haunting! Transform ordinary items into terrifying tricks and treats, creepy crafts and costumes, petrifying projects, and scary scenes. Create your own character to inhabit our happy haunted home, using spine-tingling techniques and spooky special effects.
Guaranteed to put goosebumps and chills on all who dare to enter! We will run the “Haunt” for Open House, and on the last day.

T5 Pirate Pandemonium
Session: 3 Grades: 4 & up
Avast, me hearties! Prepare to hoist anchor and set sail for exotic ports. We will learn pirate lore and history. Sing sea chanties. Make pirate flags and treasure maps. Create treasure chests and miniature ships. “ Perchance, dig for treasure?” says I. But we’ll not stand for mutiny, or it’s the Black Spot for ye!

T6 Puppet Theater
Session: 2 Grades: 5 – 8
Design and build your own working marionette! Learn the engineering of the puppet’s movements - then with your class, put on a new show, using the Workshop’s puppet stage. You will work with carpentry tools, do costuming, scene painting and story telling!

T7 Funky Fairy Tales
Session: 3A Grades: 2 - 4
Forget Cinderella, and Snow White! We’re off on some new adventures with some different stories and characters from far away places. Together we’ll choose a story for our play. Using creative dramatics and improvisation, we’ll write our own script. Then, we’ll make our own scenery and costumes for our performance on the main stage.

T8 UFO’S: Frisbee Games and Juggling Fun!
Session: 3A Grades: 6 - 8
Unlimited Flying Objects! Learn plain and fancy Frisbee throws and catches, and then play Ultimate, Disc Golf, Flutterguts and other disc games. We will learn to juggle three balls, two balls in one hand, easy juggling tricks … and even try four and five-ball juggling and club juggling! We will also work on unicycling! - both supported by classmates and trying to ride on your own!

T9 Whodunnit?
Session: 3A Grades: 5 – 8
CALLING ALL MYSTERY LOVERS …for a week full of fun and suspense!!! Put on your detective hats and bring your magnifying glasses – we’ll use our powers of logic and deduction as we search the Heldeberg Workshop Land for clues to solve a variety of mysteries. We’ll step back in time to the days before TV as we listen to old-time radio mystery shows, such as “The Shadow”. We will re-create a radio play, complete with music and eerie sound effects.

T10 Live from the Heldebergs
Session: 3B Grades: 7 - 12
After last summer's exciting comedy workshop, "Live from the Heldebergs" will return for a week of comedy writing, improvisation and sketch creation. The workshop will conclude with a live performance of the students' written work.
