About

The Heldeberg Workshop is non-profit organization dedicated to providing “An Adventure in Learning.” It is chartered by the Board of Regents and is located on 240 acres at the foot of the Heldeberg Escarpment in the Town of New Scotland. We offer 1 and 2 week outdoor courses, taught by certified teachers and expert artisans, in diverse areas such as science and nature, high adventure, theater and art.

The Heldeberg Workshop is chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York. The Heldeberg Workshop has a permit to operate from the Albany County Department of Health. The Workshop is inspected annually; reports are available at the Albany County Department of Health office on South Ferry and Green Streets.
