Wheelchair Archery for Adults — New, Free Program

Our outdoor Archery Field
Heldeberg Workshop is now accepting registrations for a free Wheelchair Archery class at our outdoor Archery Field, August 31–September 4, 9 am–12 noon. Designed for first-time adult para-archers or anyone exploring adaptive sports, the class is taught by an experienced archery instructor with volunteer assistance from local Rod & Gun clubs. Participants shoot light-draw bows using equipment we provide, learn bow nomenclature and technique, and try different bow types and distances across the week.
The Archery Field sits near several of our other historic sites — the Blacksmith Shop, Maple Sugar House, Iroquois Longhouse, and the Heldeberg Escarpment — for those who’d like to explore before or after class.
Open to adults 16 and older who use a wheelchair and can hold and shoot a bow independently. Caregivers and companions are welcome to join.
We offer weekend classes for children and adults. Additional classes will be posted and registration will open for these classes at the end of August/beginning of September.
