The Heldeberg Workshop is looking for young people who are age 15 and older to assist our teachers during the summer program. There are a limited number of Outdoor Education Intern (OEI) positions who receive a $140 weekly stipend and OEI positions for high school students who want community service credit or volunteer experience. Interns assist teachers in outdoor classes concerning art, music, theater, science, and high adventure.

The 2022 program runs from July 11 to August 19, and interns work from 8:30 am to 12:15pm. You may apply for the entire summer or at least 2 individual weeks (does not need to be consecutive weeks). All staff and independent contractors, including interns, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 in order to work at Heldeberg Workshop. There will be no bus transportation this year.

PLEASE NOTE:  We have enough intern coverage for weeks 1 (July 11-15) and week 2 ( July18-22).   Interns are needed for remaining weeks.

If accepted, we will send you a contract to return to us. You must agree to attend one orientation session (2-3 hours) on Saturday July 2 or July 9 from 9:30 to 12:00. You will receive a $15 stipend for attending the orientation session.

Thank you,
Kris Barber
