OUTDOOR EDUCATION INTERN INFORMATION (OEI)
NOTE: We have filled all the open positions and are no longer accepting applications.
The Heldeberg Workshop is looking for young people who are age 15 and older to assist our teachers during the summer program. There are a limited number of Outdoor Education Intern (OEI) positions who receive a $155 weekly stipend and OEI positions for high school students who want community service credit or volunteer experience. Interns assist teachers in outdoor classes concerning art, music, theater, science, and high adventure.
The 2023 program runs from July 10 to August 18, and interns work from 8:30 am to 12:15pm. You may apply for the entire summer or at least 2 individual weeks (does not need to be consecutive weeks). All staff, including interns, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 in order to work at Heldeberg Workshop. There will be no bus transportation for interns this year.
If accepted, we will send you a contract to return to us. You must agree to attend one orientation session (2-3 hours) on Saturday July 1 or July 8 from 9:30 to 12:00. You will receive a $15 stipend for attending the orientation session.
